So if you aren't crafty (or you are looking for a project your fiance can help out with, this is it!

Choose any design and any color and go to it! Try to keep your designs simple (K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid is the watchword for this projects. The easier the design the easier the execution (and the less likely you are to want to kill each other before it's finished.)

Unique Table Numbers - Easy DIY Project

Looking for a unique table number? How easy is this! Yes it is EEEBCDI (Easy Enough Even Bill Can Do It.) For those of you who have followed my blog, you know I test out just how easy a project is by getting my husband (a great guy who is just craft-clueless) to see if he can duplicate the project. These table numbers were so simple they rated the EEEBCDI rating! Face it, when you're about to get married you REALLY do not want a complex craft to pull together at the last minute! Also this rating means it's a good project to get your groom involved in. Most guys are not into making frou frou projects, but hey, bread... yeah, they can get into that!

Simple Tutorial on Bread Table Numbers:

1. Go to your favorite fresh bread purveyor (Whole Foods, Panera, Wegmans) and buy a loaf of bread for each table. Choose the size based on the size of your centerpiece you'll be placing your table numbers next to. It shouldn't overwhelm your centerpieces.

2. DO NOT (as one bride suggested to me) shellac your bread! I guarantee if you do SOMEONE will try to eat it (not a great idea.)

3. Either using simple calligraphy (not a guy thing usually) or use a computer program to make your table numbers. Print on heavy weight paper and glue onto a heavier backing so the number stands up straight. (You don't want droopy numbers!)

4. Cut a small slice in the top of the loaf of bread and insert the lower corner into the bread. If you are using a smaller loaf on a large table, make more than one per table so you can see it from every direction.

You can use a long loaf of french bread for your place cards which will keep the theme going! I like this idea for weddings with a rustic theme or a picnic wedding.

The Stairway to Heaven?

I have to admit, these steps blew me away! What a great way to decorate the stairs, especially for the steps up to your wedding ceremony!  Of course it requires having the requisite stairway...almost tempted to find a way to put one in just to do this! Seen on Crafty Chica and The Cherry Blossom Girl. (look under New York).  Even if you don't want to use them for a wedding, why not use your favorite sayings or songs on your basement steps? (Alas, the only place in my house I could get away this!) But how fun! If anyone comes across the source for this photo let me know, and I'll happily post it.  WOW! DIY project sometimes just blow me away! 

Lacey Water Bottles--SIMPLE DIY Project!

This is one of the easiest DIY projects I've ever seen! (And if you are a regular reader of this blog you know how I worship at the altar of EASY DIY PROJECTS.) And while I'm not personally wild about the color scheme on these I'd love them in some hot pink or lime. 

How do you make these? Simply remove the label from your bottled water (my favorite is Aquafina but ...choose your choice), cut out a new label from a yard of lace material, and then use some double-sided tape to attach it to your water bottle! Voila! Perfection!  You've changed an ugly plastic bottle to a romantic cool bottle of water, perfect for a wedding or shower.  Inspiration from A Subtle Revelry photo by Carly Taylor.

What a great idea! Green Wedding Shoes sent me this update from their site from Annie and Harrison's wedding that was all DIY! I was so impressed! But this was my favorite! I love the sentiment and I loved the way it was executed! DIY Napkin Rings--Easy Download

This simple download template is from Heart of Light.  Download the template here (go to file and make sure you select download original so you get the printable version). You'll need Acrobat Reader. Type the names in the provided fields (font is embedded for you) and print out on nice paper. I used 68 lb cream cover stock. Cut out, slightly around the printed outlines.  Add a sprig of herbs (see above) or a flower.

Pie Pops--An Easy DIY Project

Pie Pops! Bite size nirvana you can make yourself or have delivered to your door from your favorite Etsy vendor.  I found some in an Etsy store, went back to order them later and they were gone! This gives you an idea how popular they must be. So if you see them, and know you want them for a specific date, contact the vendor directly.  (BTW, these photos are from that Etsy store but since they don't have them anymore...just search Etsy, I'm sure they'll be back soon!) Since I couldn't order some I decided to figure out how to make them myself.  I was pleased to find that these are (I hate to say it) a piece of cake.  (GROAN!) These are so easy it's almost a sin NOT to make them yourself. For once a DIY(Do It Yourself) project that is EASY! OK, you all know if you read my blogs that EASY is my middle name (at least when it has to do with DIY projects!)

Some pie pops are plain, others have decorations on them, some are covered with 10x sugar and some painted pie dough, your creativity sets the limits if you're making them yourself. For a tutorial on how to make these great pops yourself go to Luxirare. BTW, Luxirare is an incredible blog just to sit and read for pure enjoyment and to revel in the pure creativity of the author. Another recipe is available at Bakerella. For anyone not into making their fillings for scratch head down to your local grocery store a buy a jar or can of your favorite pie filling. Remember, these are lollipop size so a little filling will go a VERY long way. I also suggest using premade pie crust, it will simplify your life and make clean up so much faster.

If you want something more creative than simple rounds, you can choose other cookie cutters and change the shapes or do what Cake Pop Bake Shop, another Etsy shop did and decorate it. Easier yet, order them straight from them. OK, so I AM Lazy!

No matter how you get your pie pops your guests are sure to enjoy having the option of tasting different flavors and textures of delicious pies at your sweet table.

DIY Jars of Cocoa

These are so simple.  Buy the jars and sterilize them.  Let dry overnight so they are all the way dry.  Fill with high quality cocoa mix and seal.  Add decorations by using a ribbon in your bridal colors or in brown to accent the cocoa, and add a snowflake punch or if you are having a spring/summer wedding try butterflies etc. (see your craft store for assorted punches).  Add a jewel in the center for a little bling.  This is so easy! Done in two days, and one of those days is the one you spend sterilizing the jars.

One suggestion. Don't leave DIY projects to the last minute or try to do it all yourself, rope in some friends or a crafty mom to help out and have some fun while you're crafting!

If you are creative or crafty you're probably making your own invitations. But you still need envelopes. This template, available for only $16.95 from http://www.spoonsisters.com/ makes envelopes simple and easy. It allows you to create envelopes that measure: 4.5 inches W x 6.4 inches W; the template measures 7.8 inches W x 11 inches H, W x 0.1 inches thickness.
